The Snow in February So Far

February 3, about to shovel a path to studio

and I noticed the delicate bird prints in the snow.

Yesterday it snowed again…the snowbanks 

are above my head in places.

Shoveled to the studio early last evening.

More snow fell overnight and this is my studio 

this morning…more shoveling is awaiting me.
Oh, and it is also super cold.

Snow and More On the Way

The snow from the blizzard on Tuesday

has taken days for us to clear….

this was our deck on Thursday.

Friday brought 4 or 5 more inches of snow which seemed

manageable  and was very beautiful as we took a ride

by the ocean and through town.

Tomorrow could bring 8 to 12 more inches of snow

and the snow banks are already very tall…

Snow Blizzard

The snow is swirling around our

home as we experience the blizzard

today.

Josie May is curious as she gazes from

a window…

We are feeding the birds but the ground feeders are

having difficulty as the birdseeds disappear into the 

deep and drifting snow.

I put some bird seed on a piece of cardboard and that 

seems to help a little.

PS.

Now it is evening and the wind still swirls and gusts

and snow is in the air.

We have a tremendous amount of shoveling to do

tomorrow.

Looking for the Full Moon

So very cold and windy tonight…

we ventured out in search of the full moon rising.

It was getting  dark and there was a layer of 

clouds on the horizon.

As it got darker, I saw a pinkish orange glow...

and then it appeared through clouds…

mysterious….

Lights

So clear tonight as the lights in town

glittered.

This time of year the lights are so magical.

Gray Stormy Days

December has brought some 

gray stormy weather, ice and snow.

Still beautiful in it's own way.

Snow, Ice, Craft Fair and Rain

Last night we set up my display for the Prelude Craft Fair

in Kennebunkport for today.

Got up early to check the weather….

a small amount of snow is covering the ground

and ice sparkles on the trees.

It is supposed to warm up and turn to rain.

We have a little bit of everything.
