August Moon

The beautiful August moon rose last night over 

the ocean...

It peeked through the shops in Dock Square...

Dreamy

Early yesterday evening we took a beautiful walk

at a beach north of us.

The steamy humid air from the day changed

into comfortable temperatures with a lovely breeze.

We walked down the long wooden path leading to 

the beach through tall beach grass.

The water was warm as we walked along the edge...

 

Found sanddollars...

Was such  a dreamy evening!

Summer

It's been a hot humid summer.

Happiest when it is foggy!

Thistle is blooming along the coast.

The lilies started blooming in our garden

and are so lovely.

 

The squash in this basket has been sitting in my

studio since last autumn.

They are still looking fine on the outside

but I can't imagine they

have any flavor 

so today they were released to the 

wild part of the yard for the critters to find!

The fragrant beautiful beach roses are out 

and are a breathtaking sight along the coast.

A dramatic contrast to a stormy sky this evening.

Wander Through the Garden

the vegetable garden is waiting for vegetables

to be planted...

while wandering through the perennial gardens

there is a surprise at every turn...
