During the Storm
Here are some images from today's outing
during the storm on the Maine coast.
When we were out it wasn't too bad.
The rain stopped in the afternoon as
the wind picked up.
during the storm on the Maine coast.
When we were out it wasn't too bad.
The rain stopped in the afternoon as
the wind picked up.
I know there have been many power outages
and downed trees and too much water in the
wrong places!
Hope it was safe where you are.

Rain Came Today
We needed rain...
it started at the beach... and
poured on the way home almost to the point
where we couldn't see.
it started at the beach... and
poured on the way home almost to the point
where we couldn't see.
The violet pole beans liked it, too!
Now our concern is for hurricane Irene...
we are hearing reports she could hit Maine
on Sunday night.
We may just get too much water and wind.
We'll see and are hoping she calms down
and that everyone in her path stays safe!

A Sign
August 10th was a very sad day
but in the evening something special happened...
the sky was totally overcast with thick clouds,
as we drove by the ocean looking for the moon.
It was nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly the invisible moon sent a thin line of orange
moonlight through the clouds
that lit the ocean at the horizon line.
The light slowly moved towards us a little and faded away.
It was very mysterious and
perhaps it was a sign from our beloved cat, Polly
that we sadly lost that morning.
It was a comforting thought...
