A Bit of Color on a Gray Day

Today I saw a lone pansy blooming in our window box.
Most unusual after all of the freezing temperatures
we've had in November. It was so lovely to see a tiny
splash of yellow in a gray landscape.

Here's is a rose that D found blooming in the
back yard.

Thank goodness for the little things!

Baby News

Today is a special day,
my great nephew was born this morning!
It seems like yesterday that I drew
my nephew when he was a baby.

Looking forward to meeting the newest
addition to our family soon and looking forward
to drawing him!

Congratulations and love to J and S and baby BL...

Full Moon

Sunday was a very calm clear day...we took a brisk walk
in the afternoon...all bundled up.
Magical to see a sundog in the sky
(it's difficult to see here
but it's in the center of the sky)

I knew the full moon would rise tonight but was
unsure of the time, so when we got home I looked
it up on the internet and it was rising at that moment.
We hurried back to the ocean to see if we could locate
the direction it was rising in.

Found a beautiful quiet spot to contemplate

the rising of the moon.

The Gift

A large box was delivered to our home on
Tuesday morning...a gift from my Dad...
Brody approved of the box immediately!
It arrived from Amazon...

My Dad said we'll be in the dough now!

And sure enough, late last night our first loaf
of gluten free bread was ready...what a treat!

So delicious! I wonder how long this will last...
I have a feeling this bread maker will be used often!

The bread is a mix from Bob's Red Mill...this is the
Homemade Wonderful Bread Mix and they
have many gluten-free products if you click here.
I highly recommend them!

Do you have any experience with Bread Maker Machines
or gluten-free recipes?

Rainy

It's the 2nd rainy cold day here in Maine
and most of the golden leaves have fluttered
to the ground...the delicate pattern of bare
branches remain.
It's good to be inside where it's warm
and I'm inspired to be working on new art.
