A New Year's Greetings

may your New Year sparkle

and may you find magical moments

in nature every day.

New Year's Day

New Year's Day started

with trees that shimmered
with the rising sun as ice crystals clung to the
delicate branches.

At 11 am. the brave lined up for the annual
Atlantic Plunge to raise money for charity.
Considering it is January 1st, the weather
wasn't too bad for such an event...
44 degrees and sunny
with no snow.

The count down began and

everyone participating ran screaming
into the ocean for a dip!

The sun set at 4:16 pm. and I love this time
for a walk along the ocean.

A New Year Approaches

As the New Year approaches I wish
you all a year that is filled with kindness,
warmth, light and love.

A Warm Glow

As D and I took a little ride around
town tonight, and the light from
this cozy window caught my eye.
We paused to feel its warming glow
on this snowy wintry night of the
first day of the New Year.

D sent me this photo...while I'm in Connecticut,
he's back in Maine. To raise money
for charity this morning, brave folks
took a dip in the ocean, the air temperature
was about 9 degrees. D missed the big event
and by the time he arrived by most had left.
There were a few folks still there and you can
see someone running out the ocean!
