Winter is Here

Or first snow storm of the season arrived today...

A Magical Snowy Sunday

We went out early Sunday morning while it was snowing.

The snow had clung to the trees overnight and created

a beautiful winter wonderland.

Saw inspiring vistas and wildlife.

By afternoon the sun was poking through the clouds

and this was the view from my window.

Snow Storm

So very cold today ...the temperatures hovered

in the single numbers and below zero.

 

A very fine snow gently fell all day.

Sea smoke rose from the ocean at the beach adding

an air of mystery.

Not much was stirring at the beach

 but we did notice a group of ring billed gulls 

huddled together sitting in the sand.

 

It was so good to be back in the warmth

of our home.

Snowing Again

Snowed all day and now it is continuing into the night...

after shoveling out in the late afternoon

we visited the ocean for a look at the surf and 

sea birds...

To our great surprise, one wave was extra strong

and came right through D's window!

 

To think spring is officially here tomorrow!
