The Moon

The moon took my breath away
last night,
so very beautiful as the delicate branches
were captured in the moonlight...

A carpet of trout lilies are blooming down by the brook...
how I look forward to them every spring...

The clouds were wonderful today!

Rainy Day

Today was cold and rainy...

watched turkeys til they flew up into a pine
tree across the street from this horse farm ...

The temperature seemed to be in the high 30's
which almost felt like it could snow!

Flowers and Driftwood

Every day adds a little more color to our garden.
Today was such a beautiful day, clear and
comfy temperatures...just right!

Was happy to see the large driftwood tree trunk
was still on the beach...

Magnificent Tree Trunk

This is a close up of a section of a very sculptural
tree trunk that the sea left behind on the sandy
shore on Thursday.
I will post more photos of it later.
It was fascinating...

A Summer Day in April

Was in the 80's today...felt like summer!
What happened to spring?


Was very low tide as we walked on the beach
and D saw several piper like birds...when I looked
through my camera I discovered they were the
Piping Plovers.
What a treat to see them.

Yellows of Spring

The blossoms of the Cornelian cherry tree
caught my eye as I was working in the studio.
They drew me to them.

Hard to believe that when D planted them they
looked like little sticks.

I find these hints of yellow in early spring
so cheerful.

Spring Continues!

So wonderful to see the scilla and daffodils
blooming in our yard!

A favorite time to walk, a bit on the chilly side last night!

Spring is in the Air...

The first of April brought clearing skies and
a lovely warmth...
the yard was dotted with the colors of spring.
