I've noticed dashes of purple popping up in flower beds all over the neighborhood. I'm so happy to see some color (other than white)!
I was surprised by a lovely, lone daffodil blooming in a bed along the side of my house. It's been there for years, planted by the previous homeowner, but this is the first time it has bloomed.
Lori ann, it sure feels good to see signs of spring!
Willoughby, Funny you should mention daffodils for we didn't think any of ours were blooming yet and then Friday afternoon I spotted a yellow glow up in a corner of the yard that is sheltered and warm.
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.
