Lilacs, Beach Rose and Buttercups

The lilacs are in full bloom in our yard..so
impressionistic and fragrant and fleeting...

Along Ocean Avenue in Kennebunkport
the beach roses are appearing...
how I love them!

Plenty of buttercups brighten the landscape
on Ocean Ave. in Kennebunkport as we took
an evening walk.

Spring is such a beautiful time of the year.

Those lilacs and roses are so beautiful.

Our lilacs finished weeks ago. ago. We had a freaky week of 80 degree days in March that put the plants way ahead of schedule.

I am probably the only one that loves really cool weather. If it never got above 60 degrees, I would be delighted.

Beautiful pictures as always! Our lilacs have come and gone already too. We took the boys to the shore for a bike ride this past weekend and I noticed something I had never before...beach roses! Slightly different than the ones we see in Maine but they put a smile on my face and made me long for our vacation still months away. :)

Hi Marnie,
Thanks! I noticed how far ahead you are with the plants than us but we are actually ahead of where we usually are for we had a very warm early spring. Oh, you're not alone...I also love the cooler weather and 60's are just fine for me, too!
