Spring Is In The Air

Turning the corner to the beach on Sunday afternoon,
colorful kites dotted the sky....a lovely and whimsical sign of spring!

Though the air temperature
was still mighty cold and windy,
there was no doubt the feeling
of spring was in the air!

D uncovered a garden bed that had been buried
under tons of snow all winter and to his amazement
Swiss chard was growing and he was able to
harvest 2 parsnips!

Hope signs of spring surprise you, too!

Little did we know (or did we?) that there would be snow the very next day!
I love your ocean photos, Nan!

Hi Judy,
Isn't that something, I'm looking out at a fresh covering of snow, thankfully it seems to be melting fast!

Lori,
It's now Thurs. am. and snowing!
Yesterday D was searching under plastic that had collapsed over the winter from the heavy snow in the garden and another surprise...brussel sprouts! We had some for dinner and they tasted fine!

Kary,
Am so happy you stopped by to say hi!
Happy Spring to you, too! I think your spring feels much more like spring than here in Maine!
Best wishes to you, the adorable Teddy and your kittys!
