Last night the major snow storm moved into Maine
and it resembled the middle of winter when we opened
the front door this morning with snow flurries lingering.
We left the house early and drove through the
snowy streets heading for the Nonatum Hotel.
The car was packed with my
art for I was to have a little display in the lobby
for their "Breakfast with an Artist".
It was warm and cozy inside and I loved the
breakfast...they had one of my favorite foods...
It was not too busy but I met a few guests.
Back in our yard it seemed strange to see snow
and leaves still on the trees.
The heavy snow bent many of the tree limbs to
the ground and D went around trying to knock
the snow off of them.
By afternoon the sun appeared and helped to
melt some of the snow.
We were very thankful that we didn't lose the power.
My relatives in Connecticut are having a tough time
as are so many other people.
They may not have power returned for a week in some
cases. So many trees and wires are down there.
Hope everyone is safe and can find warmth to get
through this tough time.
