It was April 9th and looked more like the middle of winter….

Beautiful and atmospheric photos of the rocks, but I can imagine you are heartily sick of snow, much the same as my daughter who lives on the east coast. Here in sunny California, I am heartily sick of being promised a few light rain showers and they never materialize. Now we are letting our lawn die, heading to xeriscape, and figuring out it is going to be a long, hard summer, much the same as your winter has been.
Lynn, Thanks for your comment. We were surprised to get more snow since we were beginning to see more of the ground but it was beautiful. It set us back to thinking we were still in winter though. I hope your summer isn't as bad as you anticipate. We don't know what kind of summer we will have….Hope you get the rain soon and often.
Roses and Lilacs, We sure did get more snow but today it rained a little and was foggy. I looked up our future weather and it looks like your warming weather may reach us with 60 degrees in the forecast for Sunday.
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.

Heard on the news you got more snow. Finally warming here, hope it's headed in your direction.
