Hazy Foggy Evenings and the Moon

For several evenings the clouds and fog prevented
us from seeing the full moon but last night
we were lucky.
Though it was a hazy evening with some fog
the moon made an appearance.
Serenity and peacefulness...

The Garden, the Sky and the Sea

I love this time of year in the garden...

Lilies are blooming everywhere in the garden.
Over the years on D's birthday he had
received lilies as gifts.
They catch my eye and I have to pause
and take in their beautiful colors and shapes
every time I walk in the yard.
They nearly take my breath away.

Tonight we took a little walk on the beach and
were fascinated by the sky.

It continued to amaze me as the sun set...

Catching Up

It's been a hot humid summer here in southern Maine.
This weather slows me down!

The gardens are flourishing though they could use
some rain.

There's a chance of a thunderstorm
later today.

D planted peas last month that the
baby woodchucks immediately ate.
D thought that was the end of the peas
 and was quite upset.
What a surprise to see them flourishing.
Well, by eating the tops the woodchucks had
actually made them bush out.
Unfortunately there are 3 different
varieties that have all tangled.
It is difficult to pick them and
figure out what they are!
A learning experience!

The leek flowers are very beautiful!

We try to walk in the evening when it is cooler.

There have been some unusual sunsets!

Hope you are having a good summer and the
weather isn't too oppressive.

Scenes From The Past Few Days

The sky has been so beautiful the past few days...

The marsh is home to many birds...

The sunsets are amazing.

When it's misty the greens look so lush.

This and That on a Beautiful Day

The weather has been so beautiful
and with it nature reveals it splendor.
Love wandering around the yard this
time of year...surprises at every turn.

Always am inspired by the sunset along the coast ...

Sunday's Flowers

These are some of the flowers blooming in the
garden today...
The Columbine at the top was a gift from my Hubby.
We were hoping it might attract a hummingbird.

To my happy surprise, the hummingbird did make a
brief appearance and I saw it on the blue comfrey.
