April Fools

Yesterday, Thursday, I was delighted to see
the purple crocuses had opened to join the
yellow and white ones.

Little did I know that the snowdrops
would actually be the harbinger of a blizzard!

This morning, April 1st, I opened my eyes to the fluffiest
snow clinging to trees and turning the yard
back into a winter wonderland!

ps. well, the fluffy snow turned into a wet heavy snow
and then the sleet and rain arrived which eventually
turned back into snow.
Meanwhile, the power went out at around 8:30 am.
and just returned about 4 pm.
This is quite an April Fool's Day here in Maine...

Hope the weather is kinder to you wherever you may be!

The snow is pretty, but I'd rather see the flowers! I hope you're back to spring weather very soon!

Willoughby and Lori,
thanks for writing! What a blizzard, now we have sleet and snow and it's very heavy! D is running around the yard with a broom knocking snow off of the tree limbs and we have lost our power, been several hours now and the temperature is dropping inside...so this is April in Maine!

I would rather have the flowers, too and Lori it's amazing to think your flowers are wilting from heat!

Your photos are a perfect depiction of a NE weather story! But our snow stopped around noon and much of it has melted. Hope your flowers survived, Nan!

Hi Judy,
Thanks! Today is now Saturday and the sun is shining so the snow on the roof is dripping and slowly melting in the yard! It still looks wintry here! You're lucky most of yours has melted! I think we all need spring!
