The Wild Sea

This morning (Sunday) at the high tide,
the heavy rains of yesterday had subsided but
the surf was still raging...

So many surfers took to the sea...like penguins...

waves washed up into the road...

I was happy to make it back to the beach before
the light faded this evening...

The tide was low and the sea left behind
much foam mixed with seaweed and oak leaves.

A mist hung in the air along with muted shades
of a pink sunset...

I stayed for a year in Exeter, unfortunately did not visit Maine though my boarding school roomie came from Maine and told me all about it...I just love the New England scenery though and the quiet country towns were wonderful too...

:))

Trust you're keeping well
