Old Treasures

While rummaging through all kinds of
old things in my Dad's basement I opened
a tin and inside were all of these rocks
that I had drawn on a long, long time ago.
I used to draw little tiny pictures
with little tiny writing
of my favorite quotations.
I actually drew on everything...
even little wooden beads,
spools and seashells!

a tiny wooden bead...

Today I am inspired by sea shells...
I brought some of my favorites to Connecticut
with me and by painting them I can feel the
sea and the feeling of collecting them on the
coast of Maine.
To see what I've been working on just click here!

Thanks!

What WONDERFUL treasures you have found! So delicate. Glad to learn that the power is back on in Maine. We were lucky and didn't have any trouble with ours. The boys have been having a wonderful time. Forts, tunnels, snowball fights...Today we went to a state park and took a snow hike. It was quiet and beautiful.
