So Cold!

Taking a walk this afternoon was difficult for
it was so very cold, especially when we turned
around and had to walk back into the biting
bitter wind!

This is what I managed to collect and quickly
place in my pocket!

I love the little shells that I happen to call
Hat Shells though I don't think that is their name.
Am always on the lookout for heart shaped rocks, too!
I saw someone with a nice collection over here.

my gosh i've had the best time looking through all your blogs and websites.
I LOVE your art. watercolor is my favorite also, and pen and ink. I like to play a bit with paints but you are so inspiring i might try to pick up a brush more often.
i want to thank you for coming by and leaving such a kind comment, it is a pleasure to meet you!

A man once told me while walking along GRB that the shells are called Chinese Hats. I'm not sure if that is truly their name but it is what we have been calling them for years. I even brought one home to my mother-in-law who has traveled to China 7 times! I see you found some sea glass too...always a special find. Hope all is well!

Friends from NJ,
That's reassuring to hear about the name of the shell. I have been finding just a little bit of sea glass the past few days and today I kept seeing heart shaped rocks!
Was wondering if you are going to get that big snow storm coming up from the mid-Atlantic states? We're not going to get any snow at all! Strange turn of events! Keep in touch!

I was lucky enough to once find a heart shaped rock. I have it out on a table in our living room. We are about 30 miles north of the major snow but we are having a lovely snow fall this mornning and should get about 4-7 inches. We love snow and hope we get a "really good" snowfall ourselves sometime this winter.

Friends from NJ,
Oh, 4-7 inches of snow sounds beautiful and manageable! Heard from a friend in Virginia and she got 30 inches of snow! We can actually see the bare ground here, just patches of snow.
