August Flowers

just love the lilies in our gardens...

at the beach, the roses are blooming...
while rose hips are ripening...

My daylilies have been done for a month...and even my neighbor who has a green thumb doesn't have any lilies blooming now. It's been in the 90s here all week! But at least here almost everyone has air conditioning in home, car, and office.

I still have a few daylilies blooming. In fact, I think I have that one in your photo. It was planted so many years ago, can't recall the name but I like it. Lovely blending of color.

quiltcat,
you are definitely ahead of us for flowers...glad you are keeping cool in this heat wave!

Marnie,
When I look at your blog, I am amazed for we do have many of the same flowers! D is the gardener in our family and I think you and he have a similar eye for plants. I love to photograph and draw them!

Most of my lillies have finished blooming. I wish there was a way to keep them blooming until fall. They bring so much to the garden.

I'm amazed at the beautiful roses growing along the beach. We don't have anything like that around here. Are they fragrant?
