What gorgeous pictures :) I'd thought you'd like to know, WE HAVE SNOW! Not much, but enough to be pretty. Thank you for your kind comments, I can't see me staying away long! I think I've decided to re-vamp the blog and start again. I'm feeling very positive today :)
Hi Kim, That's great news, am glad you're not staying away long! Sometimes we just need some spring cleaning even if we have snow and rearranging the furniture, so to speak, to give us a fresh outlook! Nan
Hi Nan, The orchid is so graceful. Wonderful back lighting of the pink sky. I just love the previous post. Such a charming town with the old storefronts and pretty street lamps. The house isolated on the rocks looks so lonely and cold. Marnie
Hi Marnie, The orchids bloom for such a long time, they add so much especially during the winter...they seem like graceful dancers. D rescued that orchid and another that would have ended up being thrown out by a friend who was going south for the winter. They seem to thrive in our window!
I like orchids very much but there is no way I would be able to keep one alive. I've killed every houseplant I've ever owned - even air plants and they are hard to kill! :o)
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.

Sian,
Actually D has the green thumb in our home and keeps all of the house plants happy!
