Snow

Tuesday morning and a light snow is falling,
soft and quiet after a busy weekend.

The Christmas Prelude in Kennebunkport
took place over the weekend.

A light snow softly fell on Sunday.

Santa arrived by lobster boat.

Here's some photos from a balcony in Dock Square
on Sunday afternoon of December 7th.

Have you ever seen Santa's helpers
that are red lobsters?

Lovely pictures. I had no idea that Santa's helpers were red lobsters, but there they are! (I always thought Santa's helpers were kitty cats...) Be prepared for some weirdly changing weather...after it was unusually cold earlier this week, today it's 61 and raining, possibility of thunderstorms!

Hi Sian and Quiltcat,
By the time we got to Dock Square, Santa was gone but the Lobster helpers remained, in fact there were many adults having their pictures taken with them! Hmmmmm, kitties would make good helpers!

It is very warm today, feels tropical and rainy. Can't believe I was absolutely frozen yesterday.
take care!

What a beautiful town. I would like to visit Maine and travel down the coast.

Nan, i hope you're being able to finish the commissions you've got in the works! In between painting, hope you get to process those potatoes...i would think a huge batch of potato soup would freeze well! It was 61 yesterday and raining; pouring now; tomorrow we're due for sleet and suchlike frozen stuff. Hope you're staying snug and warm!

Marnie,
I love Maine and am thankful to be living here. There sure is much to explore and over the years when we had our gallery we met many people who saw more of Maine than us! I hope you have a chance to travel along the Maine coast!

quiltcat,
I have made progress on the commissions and mailed 2 out today.
Oh, those potatoes...tonight I peeled a bunch and steamed them. They were kind of soft from being frozen so I hope they are ok to eat.
I just mashed some and they have sort of an odd taste but we're eating them anyways!
The weather is miserable, D slid turning into our street tonight. The rain is freezing on all surfaces. I hope you don't get this weather tomorrow....watch your step! I'm wearing ice-cleats to walk to the studio.

take care all,
Nan
