Early Spring in Connecticut

I'm visiting my parents in Connecticut
and there are more signs of spring here
than in Maine.

Sunday was sunny and mild so I
took a little walk to the nearby park.
Along the way I was happy to see some
lovely spring blooms.

forsythia just starting...

a beautiful magnolia...

a mallard couple at the park...

In the evening, we went over the mountain
to my sister's house for her family Sunday dinner.

Beautiful photos. They are ahead of us too. No forsythia or anything blooming here yet.

Nice pictures! glad you were able to have an advanced taste of spring. And i bet you were able to have some kitty-bonding time with Tiger.

Marnie,
The grass is actually green here!
Today it is raining and there could be a thunderstorm!
I'm going to try to help sort out clutter while I'm here. I'm actually a saver so I hope I will be of help!

quiltcat,
It is a treat to have a sneak preview of spring. I actually haven't seen Tiger yet and maybe tonight we'll go over to her house.
I need kitty bonding!

Gorgeous pictures and the blossom looks so pretty at this time of year. Magnolia is my favourite and Forsythia is always so bright and lively after a winter of muted colours.

Hi ruthie,
it's so nice to be able to get a sneak preview of spring...just a few hundred miles south of where I live.
Then when I go home, I'll be able to experience it again!

Hi Kim,
Thanks! The few things that are blooming really do stand out this time of year and makes you feel happy!
