A Dramatic Sky

Today started out with sunshine and warmth
and then big clouds rolled in, the sky
would darken, rain would fall and the sun
reappear and it kept this pattern up all
afternoon.
About 6 pm. we took a ride to the beach.
The dark sky lit up as the sun peeked out
through an opening and was so beautiful.

Stop by my blog Furry and Feathered Friends
to see who we saw further down the beach...

How magnificent, Nan, and how fortunate you are to live close to the beach. It must be very inspiring to you as an artist!

Hi Judy H, It is so very inspiring, sometimes overwhelming for I see so much around me that I wish to paint!
It was a magical experience to have been lucky enough to have stopped by the beach at that moment...

The gray just blends from sky to water. Can hardly tell where one ends and the other begins.

I love how the light peaking out of the dark clouds makes everything stand out in contrast to the sky.

Wow! What dramatic sky pictures. I love that feeling of a storm rolling in, but it must be a bit scarier being on the coast. The heat has been building here, until you think that something must give, but then it calms down a bit, just to build up again. I need a storm to break the tension!
