Trees of Spring

A day of contrasts, rain in the morning
and some sun in the afternoon.
Looking up at the sky through the
delicate branches of the birch
along with the blossoming apple tree
created intricate patterns.

The beautiful greens of spring obscured
the path leading to the brook.

Hi Nan, what a pretty spot. I have a creek down the hill from the house but it is so overgrown now I can't walk along it.

Looks like I missed a couple posts over the weekend. Love your Angelique tulips. Mine is just now loosing its petals. It bloomed for about 3 weeks this year. I am definitely getting more of these bulbs this fall.

What a cute photo of Ellie Mae sitting at your work table. Do you ever find little cat footprints on your paintings;)

Hi quiltcat,
I just love all of the shades of green this time of year and an overcast drizzly day sure does make it look so vibrant.

Hi Ariadone,
Good morning...you are right about the greens and I love the soft pinks when I gaze out at the apple blossoms.
Must take it all in and enjoy it for it is fleeting...
best wishes...

Hi Marnie,
Our little pathway down by the brook is very overgrown, too!
Our Angeliques seem to stay around quite a long time.
Over the years, once in a while, little cat footprints would appear on something I was working on and I managed to incorporate it into the painting!
