D said, "Let's go for a ride"...it was at the end of the day and the clouds were the kind that I love. To our surprise the sun peeked out just before setting and lit the sky in a most brilliant way.
Hi Kim and Willoughby, Thanks! It was so cold last night the temperature was 34 degrees but today there's not a cloud in the sky and will be in the mid-60s! Hmmm, I think I may do a painting based on the last photo...
What an amazing house out there on those rocks. I can't imagine living there with the waves breaking over the rocks or a winter storm raging outside. It looks so vulnerable.
Your first photo is so unique. You should put all these photos on skywatch. People would love to see them. Marnie
Hi Nan. What a gorgeous sunset! Yes, i agree that the last one would make a fantastic painting...also, might make an interesting quilt, because one could cut out the lighthouse, trees, etc. from black fabric as silhouettes...and then need exactly the right hand-dyed fabric for the sky.
I'm an artist/illustrator specializing in ink and watercolors and photography. My little studio in Maine is nestled in our garden by a babbling brook. Everyday I draw inspiration from the pets who have touched my life, our garden, birds and wildlife critters, quaint old houses, children, shells, scenes of the seaside and more.
Hope to share my art and observations with you and don't forget to take a moment to notice the precious little things around you.

These are so beautiful, i agree the last one would make such a gorgeous painting. You're very lucky to have such beauty on your door step.

Thanks Gemma,I am working on the preliminary for a painting now...
Marnie,
That house on the rocks is only used in the summer, many of the houses along the ocean only had summer water...
What is skywatch?
quiltcat,
I bet that would be a beautiful quilt!
JC,
